IRST Italy and Alpha Tau Medical are all set to treat their first cancer patients. Prof. Kelson and Amnon Gat joined the team in Italy to receive the first Alpha DaRT delivery. This is a significant progress towards international expansion. It will enable the availability of Alpha DaRT radiotherapy not only in Israel but in Europe, Asia as well as the US.
The Alpha DaRT treatment is delivered in the form of an alpha-emitting radiation source implanted in the tumor allowing a highly potent and precise irradiation of solid tumors. Alpha Tau Medical strives to help many more patients suffering from head and neck cancer and other indications.
